Sweet Corn

Sweet corn is the largest acreage vegetable crop in Ontario. Sweet corn is well adapted to a wide range of growing conditions and can be found throughout the province. Certain varieties are intolerant of cold soils. Sweet corn performs best under warm growing conditions. Lepidopteran insects such as the corn earworm and the European corn borer are the primary pests in this crop.
