Bioproducts and Bioeconomy
Ontario's emerging bioeconomy has the potential to significantly impact the agricultural and food processing industries in a very positive manner. OMAFRA is helping to create new opportunities for the use of biobased feedstocks in the manufacture of biobased products. Identifying new uses for agricultural and food processing residues increases their value, allows these industries to participate in new value chains, and thereby significantly contributes to the economic development of both rural communities and Ontario as a whole.
This website provides information related to bioproducts and the bioeconomy, covering such topics as bioenergy, biofuels, biomaterials, biochemicals conferences and meetings and other related subjects.
