If you have taken soil erosion control courses in the past, and are interested in being listed as a Soil Erosion Control Contractor on the OMAFRA website, you will need to obtain a "Certificate of Achievement" from OMAFRA. This certificate will be available January 31, 2009. The previous list of service providers was replaced with a list on the OMAFRA website of individuals who have obtained a Certificate of Achievement. There are two options for obtaining a Certificate of Achievement for previously certified Soil Erosion Control Contractors:
The Certificate of Achievement Application Form can be found on the OMAFRA website. Please note: if you have not previously been certified as a Soil Erosion Control Contractor, in order to be awarded a Certificate of Achievement, you must attend a training session and pass an exam. Certificates of Achievement will be valid for 5 years. Re-certification requirements will be announced in 2013. Individuals who hold the Certificate of Achievement are expected to adhere to Core Competencies and Performance Guidelines developed and reviewed by OMAFRA and industry representatives.
