Ontario is helping a Canadian seed company expand its operations to meet demand for canola seeds and related products.

With support from Ontario's Rural Economic Development Program, Pioneer Hi-Bred will build a canola seed processing facility in Morris-Turnberry that will:

  • create 14 full-time jobs and up to 100 seasonal positions
  • double parent seed production capacity for the company
  • increase canola sales across North America and around the world

A strong agri-food industry is part of the McGuinty government's plan to create jobs and opportunities that will grow the province's economy.
