Seed Processing Plant For Huron County - McGuinty Government Supports Agri-Food
Industry, Creates Jobs
Ontario is helping
a Canadian seed company expand its operations to meet demand for canola seeds
and related products.
With support from Ontario's Rural
Economic Development Program, Pioneer
Hi-Bred will build a canola seed processing facility in Morris-Turnberry that
will:
- create 14 full-time jobs and up to 100 seasonal positions
- double
parent seed production capacity for the company
- increase canola sales
across North America and around the world
A strong agri-food industry
is part of the McGuinty government's plan to create jobs and opportunities that
will grow the province's economy.
