  • Agricultural Operation Strategy or Plan Development Certificate (AOSPDC)
  • Broker Certificate *
  • Prescribed Materials Application Business (PMAB) *
  • Non-Agriculture Source Material (NASM) Plan Development Certificate
  • Nutrient Application Technician Licence *

* The exam is also offered at the end of the scheduled course.

General Information About Nutrient Management Exams

Introduction

The Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) offers a variety of exams for certificates and/or licences under the Nutrient Management Act, 2002 (NMA).Exams are offered on a rotating schedule at locations across the province commencing Fall 2010. To register for an upcoming exam, contact the University of Guelph Ridgetown College toll free at 1-855-648-1444, locally at 519-674-1500 ext 63592. Exams are available in English and French.

A passing grade on all exams is 75 per cent or greater. If an exam candidate does not achieve a passing grade, they will not be granted a certificate and/or licence. You will have three opportunities to complete the exam successfully. If you fail the second time you write the exam, you must wait three months before you write again, to allow time for you to improve your knowledge of the subject matter. After three unsuccessful attempts writing the exam, you must wait five years before you can start the process over again.

A fee of $150 will be charged for writing the exam. Payment is by credit card only.

Payment Policy

Exam fees are due at the time of registration. Fees are to be paid by credit card. All credit card payments will be processed immediately.

Cancellation Policy

Please note that the Environmental Management Branch strives to make exams accessible to clients across the province. Exam cancellations may be necessary under certain circumstances (i.e. inclement weather).
