Rural Summer Jobs Service

Thank you for your interest in the Rural Summer Jobs Service Program.

The 2009 Rural Summer Jobs Service Program is now closed. All claim forms were to be submitted to OMAFRA by October 16, 2009.

Payments for claims to the 2009 program are currently being processed and payments will be made in November and December of 2009. Each employer will be notified by letter regarding their claim submission and payment amounts.

If you are late in submitting your employer claim forms and would still like to be considered for the program, please submit your claim forms to the ministry as soon as possible. Employer claim forms can be submitted by fax, email or mail.

The Rural Summer Jobs Service Program provides a $2/hour wage reimbursement to eligible employers that create summer jobs for students between the ages of 14-30.

This program is part of the Ontario government's Ontario Summer Jobs Strategy.

Ontario receives support for the Rural Summer Jobs Service Program from the Government of Canada.
